Scientists at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) have unveiled the most dense memory circuit that is capable of storing 2,000 words in a unit the size of a white blood cell. Scientists have also commented that the circuit can hold a bit density of 100 gigabits per square centimeter. That means that a single cell is capable of storing a file the size of the United States’ Declaration of Freedom with some room still left. Caltech has also stated that according to Moore’s law the technology cannot be integrated to Laptops and other storage devices until 2020. But still the manufacturers that the technology should be able to break the law and should find some place in the gadgets maximum by 2013.
