Graphics industry will soon get NVIDIA’s world’s fastest graphics processing unit called GeForce8800 Ultra.
This record breaking device was tested on Intel Conroe with 2.93 gigahertz and 2048 megabytes of RAM. The following applications were tested to check the speed of the processor - 3DMark 2006, Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 2, Call of Duty 2, Doom3, FarCry v1.4 BETA, Prey, Quake 4, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Half-Life 2 Episode One and Half-Life 2 Lost Coast.
The results revealed that the maximum increase in the graphics processing was 27.4%, minimum increase was 0.4% and the average increase was 12.7%.
It can also be said that this new innovation will soon become the first choice for next generation Open GL titles such as Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
The device will be available on May 15 and to get it one has to shell US$829 only.
