youtube_microsoftTo equal Web sensation YouTube, Microsoft has planned to test Soapbox, an Internet video-sharing service that will offer everything, from funny home videos made by users to clips from old TV shows.

Aims to win over users with a Soapbox player that allows people to categorize, share and comment on videos, while the video continues to play nonstop; Microsoft initially offer it to a limited number of users but after six months will go live as a part of MSN Video, and also make Soapbox accessible for different browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Apple Computer’s Safari.

You will have to wait and watch at least for six months to choose the eventual winner of Soapbox, until Microsoft goes wholly live.
