Every new user of Mac ends up with a problem that he would not be able to run WMV videos on Mac.
There are three players that allow you to play Windows Media Video(WMV) files on your Mac PC.
1) Windows Media Player for Mac
Windows Media Player 9 is available for Mac PCs but Microsoft no longer maintains or supports it. But the player is available for download at Microsoft’s Web Page.
2) Flip4Mac
Microsoft has stopped maintaining WMP 9 for Mac but they have launched Flip4Mac which allows QuickTime Player to play WMV files.
3) VLC Media Player
VLC is a media player like QuickTime and Windows Media Player and is a good alternative to the traditional media players as it is available for many platforms.
But to use VLC to play WMV files you will have to use the Nightlybuilds version of VLC player. But be careful as these revisions can contain some errors.
