With Microsoft pushing some more anti-piracy measures with their WGA checks some users are frustrated when their copy of Windows is expired as they can not access their files cannot surf the net and cannot do anything on their computer rather than finding a way to activate the copy of the OS.
Well, this is surely frustrating as you can not access your own files on your own computer just because of an expired copy of Windows.
Once the 30 days period of the OS installation is over you will not be able to login to your computer and all your personal files are dumped into the hard disk and await for the OS to get activated.
Well here is a way to Login to an Expired Windows.
First of all turn on your computer as you usually do and wait until the Windows Login screen appears.
Next, click on the login as usual. You will get an error telling you that Windows has expired and you need to activate it, this will also ask you if you want to activate your Windows now. Click YES.
After doing the above procedure a ‘Let’s Activate Windows’ Screen will appear. Do Not Close it just Minimize it.
Now comes the trick. Press and hold the Windows key on your keyboard and Press ‘U’ key along with it. This will open a program called Narrator that is used by people suffering from poor vision.
Click on the computer icon on the top left of the Narrator window. Doing this will open a drop down menu. The last item in the drop down menu will be ‘About Narrator‘. Click it to open a window called ‘ About Narrator’.
In the window you will find a text ‘Microsoft Web Site’, clicking it will open Internet Explorer for you...!
Wow now you can surf the net. But what about your personal files...?
Just type ‘C:‘ in the Explorer Bar and you will be able to access your personal files. Similarly type any path that you remember about your files and access them...!
