PC manufacturers like Acer are complaining about the high prices of the latest offering from Microsoft.
They are also complaining that the cheap and basic versions of Vista are so basic that no one will want to integrate them into their systems.
Since the collapse of Microsoft’s Anti-Trust case in 2001 under the Bush administration manufacturers have been forced to increase the prices of their systems by hundreds of dollars.
Could Microsoft be compelled to lower its ever increasing prices by another Anti-trust case or will Microsoft supply funding to Linux-Flavored OS like Wine is yet to be seen.
