In its effort to seize the controversy, whether big size monitors be able to increase the output of workers or not, Apple funded a study, which assessed Apple’s 30-inch Cinema Display and confirmed tremendous increase (up to 50 percent to 65 percent) in productivity, on a variety of specific office tasks, while working on bigger screen (30-inch) than the smaller one (17 or 19-inch).
There is a huge difference in optimal resolution as well. Apple’s display with its 2560 pixels by 1600 pixels optimal resolution simply outshined 1280 pixels by 1024 pixels for the Samsung monitor. The 30-inch Apple Cinema Display costs $1,999.
Different experts have dissimilar views as Neen James, a personal productivity expert believes, though a single larger screen is beneficial for eyes, but, on the other hand, dual monitors may present added certifiable productivity gains.
Though Apple’s 30-innch display hasn’t had much competition (in size) but experts still believes that there is no need to spend such a huge amount, especially if you could easily do all that with dual monitors.
